SENIOR DOG ENRICHMENT & WELLBEING

Every senior dog deserves the opportunity to continue experiencing comfort, confidence, curiosity, connection, and joy throughout their later years.

Grala Pet Care Group provides thoughtfully tailored enrichment experiences designed exclusively for senior dogs, adapting each session to the individual dog's personality, preferences, abilities, energy, and changing needs.

Delivered in the familiarity and security of home, our services support physical comfort, emotional wellbeing, cognitive engagement, sensory exploration, and overall quality of life through relationship-centered, one-on-one experiences.

Because meaningful relationships matter, we intentionally serve a limited number of families, allowing our Canine Enrichment Specialists to become a familiar, trusted presence while providing individualized support that evolves alongside your senior dog.

Every session is delivered by a Specialist who is Fear Free® Certified and Pet CPR & First Aid Certified. As an active member of Pet Sitters International, Grala Pet Care Group maintains high professional standards through ongoing continuing education, comprehensive licensing, bonding, and insurance — giving families confidence and peace of mind every step of the way.

WHAT EVERY GRALA SESSION INCLUDES
Our Core Enrichment Approach

While no two Grala sessions are exactly alike, every visit follows the same thoughtful Core Enrichment Approach — beginning with connection and observation, flowing naturally into individualized enrichment experiences that reflect your senior dog's needs that day, and concluding with an opportunity to slow down, decompress, and transition comfortably back into home life. Rather than following a predetermined routine, each session is thoughtfully shaped around your dog's abilities, energy, comfort, interests, preferences, and emotional wellbeing — allowing the experience to evolve alongside them as they age.

CONNECTION & ASSESSMENT

Every session begins by reconnecting with your senior dog at their own pace. We take time to observe body language, comfort, mobility, energy, and emotional state before thoughtfully shaping the experience around what feels appropriate and meaningful for them that day.

PRIMARY ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCE

The heart of every session is a personalized enrichment experience shaped around your senior dog's individual interests, abilities, and preferences. Depending on the day, this may include cognitive enrichment, scent work, purposeful movement, confidence-building activities, gentle exploration, a Sniffari adventure, a stroller ride, or other meaningful opportunities to think, move, explore, and engage with the world.

COMPLEMENTARY EXPERIENCES

Senior dogs often enjoy variety just as much as younger dogs — simply in ways that reflect who they are today. Alongside the primary focus of the session, we may incorporate complementary enrichment experiences that encourage curiosity, sensory engagement, gentle movement, confidence, connection, or simple enjoyment. These experiences are always flexible, allowing us to follow your dog's interests and energy as the session unfolds.

REST & RECOVER

Every session includes an opportunity to slow down, decompress, and settle comfortably back into the familiar rhythm of home. Whether through quiet companionship, soothing touch, calming enrichment, or simply allowing your dog time to rest, we honor recovery as a meaningful part of the experience — not something that needs to be rushed.
